Life/Afterlife

Aluminum is the material for our present moment. Enduring and strong, yet lightweight and malleable, nearly 75% of all aluminum ever produced since 1888 is still in use today. That is why we center aluminum in our designs—and our metaphysics.

Aluminum 6061—our metal—endows our products with an infinite lifecycle, allowing them to live in the sustainable swirl of the circular material economy. Because of its capacity for reincarnation, we save on virgin materials, reducing our reliance on extractive industries. With over 50% recycled material as our substrate, our designs require 95% less energy and produce 95% fewer greenhouse emissions.

Our process also honors the longevity of aluminum. Precision manufactured by Arconic in Lancaster, PA, the sheets are cut with water jet technology and refined with CNC machining, while tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding ensures robust joints. Our powder coating process meets both POPs and REACH sustainability requirements. Even our floor mats are made from rubber tree sap.

We consider the entire life cycle of our products—all but the powder coating is reusable—which is why we deboss each piece with an authenticity mark. Designed to be passed down through generations, they carry this symbol of quality with them from this life into the next.
